I never thought Marc Jacobs would fail to excite me. But with his Resort 2013 collection, he did. In fact, I was really disappointed. Some pieces were fine, but nothing special. Most of them reminded me of 1970s housewives and plastic tablecloths. And the proportions seemed way off. At first. The more I looked at it, the more I fell in love. The combination of prints is brilliant and the stiff a-line dresses are simply fabulous. Marc Jacobs is a genius.

I agree with you first instinct, I don’t like it. Would you really wear these? Thoose shoes should be illegal! ;)

Some of the pieces, I would definitely wear, but never a whole outfit. It’s all in how you style it.
I agree on the shoes though, most of them are terrible ;)

After those horrible horrible hats he showed in nyc in february, I kind of expected it to be something out of the usual expectations. Totally agree with you tho!
btw: love your blog and love the fact you are austrian as well ;)

Thank you so much :))
I loved the hats in his fall/winter collection, they attracted lots of attention and fitted into the whole setting of the fashion show perfectly. That doesn’t mean they’re wearable though ;)
