Really, there’s nothing better than sleeping in on a Sunday morning (or afternoon, ahem) after not getting enough sleep the whole week. Pre-Christmas stress has kind of caught up with me, but I couldn’t be happier about meeting all these people I haven’t seen in ages!
Wishing all of you lovelies a wonderful rest of the weekend! ☼
The girls over at nowistyle do know how to spoil me! I always get cute surprise items with my collab parcels (thank you so much, girls!) and when I opened the most recent one that arrived last week, a cropped winter jacket was the first thing that caught my eye.
I really liked the idea of a warm cover-up in the shape of the iconic Chanel box jacket; kept in classic clean black and adorned with tweed trims for added elegance, reminiscent of its famous ‘big brother’.
The day we shot these pics was a very sunny one thankfully – I really can’t stand the cold – but I can perfectly imagine wearing this cropped winter jacket even when temperatures drop once again (and they will, there’s not even snow yet).
In case someone insists on dragging you outside into the cold and you’re like me and just can’t bring yourself to put on ‘practical clothing’: just add a pair of good thermal tights under your jeans, layer tops wisely underneath the jacket – I really love bodysuits for extremely cold days – and you’re ready for some winter action in style!
Sooo… it’s the 2nd of December already: Christmas time has officially begun and I’m all ready for party season! I want to wear glittery accessories, sequins (these sequin jeans will soon be mine, yay!), gems and metallics every day already and it’s not even winter. But then again, when do I not feel like wearing these?
Lovelies, I am so so so excited about Christmas time, I can tell you! Check out my Ciaté advent calendar on Instagram - I contemplate going to bed early every day so it won’t be too long before the next polish is mine. ♥
I have talked lengthily on here about my love for staging self portraits (the grown up brother of the ever so common selfie, so to speak) – and these were taken solely to celebrate my newest fling: the Elbsegler sailor’s cap. In fact, I only intended to buy one for my boyfriend as a birthday present but then mysteriously ended up getting my own*: I always, always want what he has, ahem.
But it does really look fab, doesn’t it? ♥
One of the chicest fall accessory trends this season, there was no way I could resist getting my own turban headband. And while I was at it, I thought, why not go all in and go for blue velvet and an extravagant feather detail? Personally, I love the look. Perfect for party season and a great way to jazz up those winter coats!
Now what about you, lovelies – what’s your favourite headwear trend this season? ♥
